Proportioning Valve?
Moving right along with the disk conversion & brake line replacement. The master cylinder to prop valve lines that came with the brake line kit, does not match up with the original Prop Valve I got from the donor. The lines fit without the mounting bracket. Is it necessary to have the prop valve mounted on a bracket?

Re: Proportioning Valve?
Wow Steve that looks good! I would use a bracket. Isn't there enough flex in the lines to make it work?. I had a heck of a time with mine also but I finally got it. Maybe you could fab up a trick bracket? That MC looks different than mine.

Re: Proportioning Valve?
Mine doesnt have a bracket. Not sayin you should use this POS as an example, though! By the way, I've got a new booster, MC, and prop valve on the way to get rid of this eyesore, so leave me alone!

Maybe I'll make some kinda bracket up. The brake line kit went in nice. No bending needed. I hope to have this job wrapped up by the weekend.

Re: Proportioning Valve?
Very nice and clean! I mounted my prop valve on a bracket, but with the rigidity of lines, I think you'll be fine??? maybe not...

Re: Proportioning Valve?
vibration and flex over time will cause the lines to crack and fail usually at a most inoportune time// save an oak tree some grief make a bracket

Re: Proportioning Valve?
I agree with cdowns. If you didn't need to mount it the factory would not have gone to the expense.

Maybe I'll get a piece of "Maple" and make a bracket. Kidding aside, maybe it would be best to make a bracket for it.......
