I was down where my truck is stored unloading the suspension and rearend I got for it and I was looking at the frame horns again. I think I mentioned the damage in another thread. Anyway, they both need to be replaced. Will the later years work? I`m going to cut them off about 6-8" back and wend on replacements but I want to know if the 60-66 horns are shaped the same. I`ve heard the later years are wider but as long as the bumper mount tabs are bent the same that should`nt matter once I put them on my frame. Any help would be great.

Brothers has different bumpers from 60-62 and 63-66. I don't know if it's because they just look different, but the bumper holes may be different too, which may mean the frame horns are different. I don't know, just a thought...

You can't just heat them up with a torch and beat them back into submission? I thought anything could be fixed that way!

nope. They have been cut or ripped off. There isn`t anything left resembling a frame horn.

I`ll get some next Monday. thats the next time I`ll be down where the truck is stored. I`m not even close to needed them now but I was just down there unloading some parts for the truck and was looking at them and they are bugging me. Just knowing what I can do to fix them will satisfy me.

Forgot I had these pics. They aren`t close ups but you can kinda see what I`m talking about. It will be easier to just replace them than to try to repair them.

60-62 frames were boxed in front, 63 - up are not. I should have checked mine yesterday, re: how far forward they are boxed.

I can box the replacements, that no problem. I just need to know if the later years with have the bumper mount holes in the same location. I would hate to get them on and still not be able to run a bumper.
