Can you remove just the pad on the dash of a '67 or do you need to take the entire metal off too? If you can take the pad only off, how?

Should be 4 screws in front, and i think 7, 3/8ths speed nuts from the back. One in each corner, and the rest are spread out. If the gauges or glove box insert is out, it will make sense to you.

Ok, so are the screw's on the top or bottom? Do I have to take my glove box & gauge cluster out?

Screws are integrated into the pad. They are like studs. To get to the nuts on the inside of the dash, it's a heck of a lot easier to not have the glove box or the instrument panel in the way.

Aaww, Dayum! I was hoping it was easier.... even though that's not "hard", I'm probably being lazier than normal

yep you'll have to put the beer down and get right in there. Bezel and glove box inner has to go, to make life easy. Once they are out it is quick with the
right tool. small socket system or wrench should take the funny little nuts off.

yeah there are a few nut on the underside, may have to pry a little once you remove them.

I believe there is one behind the radio that will make you swear unless the radio and gauges are out.

Wow, it' sounds like they did a nice job hiding the bolts.

I think what I'll do is sawzall the pad off, paint it then JB weld it back on...then touch up over the JB weld.....

I don't think anyone has mentioned the five phillips head screws under the front edge of the dash pad but maybe I just missed it....

Thanks for the info guys... glad I made some of you laugh!

It was pretty easy, the PO didn't put the nuts on OR put the 4 screws back in under the front, so to hold it down he used a but load of that "goop" stuff.... That was so much much cleaning that up..

So, I have the dash off, sanded and repainted with some "vinyl" specific paint
and it looks pretty cool... except for the crack on the pass. side.
