Newbie from AZ
Just thought I'd drop a line and say hi. I finally got my first REAL truck. It's a 66 fleetside 2WD. I can't tell if it's a 230 or a 250 engine, but it's pretty worn out (rings are going). It has an old 4spd that works really good, but there is a lot of slop in the shifter. The exhaust empties right in front of the rear axle (smoke come up though the holes in the bed).
Plans include: rewire (with turn signals), an engine swap to a 350 (yes I read the posts on the mounts), Disk brakes, Wheels that match (picky me), new wood for the bed (I'll have to do plywood temporarally) and a reciver hitch. Last edited by Mykul; 04-11-2008 at 07:24 AM. |
