Side Mirrors -- what looks good and works well?
Hey All,
I am looking for some nice looking side exterior mirrors for my 70 c20. I just took off the awful tripod-erector-set-type and want to put something on that looks good on the truck and works well. I am not towing a lot, so they don't have to be huge. What have you guys found that works well? |

Here's a good thread here.........http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...hlight=mirrors
Do a search on mirrors in title of thread only and it will come up with some great pics.

Its impossible to beat the look of the '67 - '70 factory single post with the 5" round mirrors IMO!

Re: Side Mirrors -- what looks good and works well?
Mine did before I changed the mirror heads, but I bought new pair of chrome 5" mirrors from Tim Christian and they do good now. If I hit a big bump they shake a little, but all of the mirrors I've seen on the trucks do that as well.

Re: Side Mirrors -- what looks good and works well?
I totally agree here, they look great, but they love to shake allot while driving. The vendor warned me of that before I bought mine. Good luck and I hope you find the right ones.

Re: Side Mirrors -- what looks good and works well?
So, no matter what you get for mirrors, you will experience some shaking? Good to know. I was thinking about the tiny small mirrors that go on the top of the door. They look steady.

Re: Side Mirrors -- what looks good and works well?
My chevy has tripods but the GMC has the square small ones. I tried them all different ways & places, adjusted them everyway I could still can't see much of anything with them. But the looks are great. Hope you can tell from the pic after resizing it. (Mirrors are just above the vent windows)

Stock Arms, not sure what heads they are though, look a lot like Big-Rig peep mirrors to me, they do the job well.
(Sadly that is a Launch picture...) These, however. Suck Last edited by Shaffer4; 04-22-2008 at 07:13 AM. |

they worked well. The stability was good. The main frame bolts through the top of the door frame and screw to the door skin below, the mirror clamps tight to the frame and I don't recall any vibrations that made it that I couldn't see where I came from.
