Thumbs up THANKS to GMCPAULS

Long story short...yesterday I had problems w/my truck. It seemed that the pedal was slow to come back up. After tearing apart the carb, I need an accelator pump spring. I ended up putting the old acc. pump back in. For now, it works.

The local NAPA was no help. Called my local GM parts dept. As soon as I said carburetor, the guy started laughing.

I emailed GMCPAULS. They don't sell carb parts but they did give me the part number I can order from GM. Here's a guy that isn't gonna make a dime off of this transaction but still provided a service! Actually, after I told him about the laughing parts guy, Paul provided a second effort on this that was total unexpected.

THANKS MUCH TO GMCPAULS!!!!

I'll second that, Paul's a great guy, as is Les (71 Chev) that works for him. If you ever get a chance to meet Paul and his family, do so.

Thumbs up

Paul has always been helpful, even when he isn't going to make anything off it. it's great to know someone like him that's willing to share his knowledge with a fellow truck lover.
two thumbs up for GMC Paul.

Gees Paul, you are going to have a hole in the back of your shirt from everyone patting you on the back! How do you get any work done? LOL.

Harvard, IL. you say. Well, hello from Woodstock, IL. Neighbor. Was the laughing parts guy at the Reichart here in Woodstock? I don't think Harvard has a GM dealer. I know there is a f*rd dealer across from Wal-mart. . .

Hey back at ya neighbor. God, I wish my truck looked 1/2, no 1/4 as good as yours.
There is a Chevy/GMC/Buick/whateverelse dealer in Harvard, Webb Chevrolet. After the guy quit laughing he said I could buy a rebuild kit. I got the kit last year and that spring aint in there. I work in Mt. Prospect, there's a GMC dealer across the street. Im gonna take the info Paul gave me and order it from there.
Have fun....don t. ....
