205 loose yoke

Ok a little background............

I bought a 465/205 setup from a buddy. I installed it into my 72 blazer with a 8" suspension lift, I have always had vibration coming to a stop, would vibrate the truck quite a bit, I drove it like this for 6 months as my daily driver until just recently I was able to afford a High Angle Driveline cv shaft for the rear. I also had a nasty gear oil leak since I got the thing, Ends up the t-case adapter was cracked at the top of the mounting flange. i pulled it too and had a machine shop weld it up.

Today, I finally get everything installed and hop in to check out my ride with the new cv shaft. coming up to the stop sign at the end of my street I got the same nasty vibes as before. I turned around and pulled back into the driveway. I took out the angle finder and the axle yoke is 18* and the driveline is 20* I went to check the output flange and the whole thing moves up and down about 1/8-3/16" so what does this mean? what Am I looking to replace here? It has a fixed flange.

Re: 205 loose yoke

Re: 205 loose yoke

When you get your vibration. Is it when you put on your brakes? If so, it's more than likely just warped front rotors.
