Re: show me ur beds
I did a quick search for 'newer bed' and got a bunch of hits. Here's one of the first few links to get you started:

Re: show me ur beds
what kind of budget you have?
Have you looked on the parts board? Texas still has a lot of these trucks... you failed to mention if you have a step or fleet... but I'm willing to bet you can find what you need without making it look bad with the wrong bed. The only one that looks even close to being right is still way off. |

Re: show me ur beds
Find an original or build one with repop parts... you'll never look back!

Re: show me ur beds
Here's my opinion. buy the new repop parts and build a new correct year style bed. Probably not much more than it will cost you for a newer style bed. Because in my book, the 88 - 98 stepbeds do not look good at all . That's my .02 worth.

Re: show me ur beds
I'd have have to agree to disagree on that. Those beds look terrible on these trucks IMO.

Re: show me ur beds
Agreed, IMHO the only bed that looks good on these trucks are the original beds.

Re: show me ur beds
I'm in the same boat as you with my 72 SWB.
I think there is nothing better than the original bed, but sometimes you gotta work with what you've got at your disposal. I recently ran across a 90 stepside bed for $75, so it's a no brainer. I'll rock the newer stepside until i find the correct bed.

Re: show me ur beds
Go original on your bed or put a flat bed on it. Here is mine all new parts. Pine wood with stainless strips.
