diesel parts help
I just posted this on two diesel forums to no avail, apparently they know nothing about their own engines, but i knew my brothers in bowties could help.
i recently obtained a good uncracked block for a 97 6.5TD out of a 1 ton chevy, may need a new crankshaft and all other innards, where do i find them i want to build it up piece by piece but cant find any one that sells parts, been finding rebuilt ones everywhere so i know there are parts, new at the diesel thing, just wantin to see what its gonna take to build it. any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: diesel parts help
Here's a few people that specialize in 6.5's,
http://www.dieselservices.com/html/g...iesel-special/ http://www.65ldiesel.com/page/page/918515.htm BUT- 6.2/6.5 parts are as easy to find as anything. You can buy everything internal from NAPA, Advance, Auto Zone, and O'Reilly's. This Advance's website and they list all the engine hard parts. http://www.partsamerica.com/PartType...s&pgid=ENGPAMS You buy a Master rebuild kit from Northern Auto Parts for less than a Grand. http://www.northernautoparts.com/Pro...ProductId=2022

Re: diesel parts help
What diesel websites did you try? You`d think they`d be all about that stuff. The one I learned alot from had any infoo you`d eer want and lots of vendors. The one I always used is www.thedieselpage.com
I learned enough that I don`t even go there anymore.(kinda boring compared to here)
