green houndstooth bench seat

I am going to take my seat into the upholstery shop soon, and I was thinking I will get it dark green houndstooth, or something like that, my truck is a dark olive green. So I was wondering if anyone out there has a picture of their green houndstooth or something similar.
thanks

Neither pic is very good. The seat was recovered by the previous owner.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a reply. This thread is six years old and buckola hasn't logged into the site since March, 2012.

Now that that's out of the way, there are several outlets for quality seat covers, but most that I've seen have the scroll work in the "panels" not the center section. I would check with board member Truckseats. If that style seat is still available, he can probably help you find it.

Re: green houndstooth bench seat

Hey MECCASPEEDKUSTOM, the seat in buckola's truck is either original or More Likely a reproduction of the custom trim level cloth/vinyl seat cover. There is a company called SMS Auto Fabrics who reproduces that pattern in various colors. They also reproduce the vinyl with the scroll pattern (as do others). I contacted SMS for a sample of the various original seat materials in black. I believe that board member Truckseats could have a reproduction seat cover made up from material purchased from SMS (as could a reputable local upholstery compay). If you search the forum for SMS you will see several people who have done this sort of setup. Here's a link to the SMS website http://www.smsautofabrics.com/.

Re: green houndstooth bench seat

I would highly recommend what cericd said, this is through personnel experience, contact SMS and go through a reputable local upholstery shop to have this done.

Thanks!!! for the info I am very familiar with SMS...
They sent me samples for my fawn and teal interiors on my other trucks...
Ever time I ask them for something for any of the projects I am working on they always come through...
I definitely appreciate the advice and help! I just want something simple and of the shelf for my wife's c20 tow vehicle build...
