And the finishing touch and most important part of the interior...my little man Kodi. This is like driving a totally different vehicle. Thanks for all the tips I've read on the site. You gals and guys ROCK!

Jeff, I bought those for my '79 (pic below). It's getting the same treatment this truck got on the inside. A few exceptions will be a killer stereo, due to the fact that someone already cut the dash for a DIN unit, I might as well go the full extent. I'll use those brackets you made, and fit higher quality speakers into the Highliner. Maybe even go with an amp and subs behind the seat. I'll start that later in the summer when I get back from vacation. Right now, if I spend anymore $ on truck parts the wife will probably just kill me! I'm going to post the 72 (and all my parts..IE: tach dash, tow hooks, etc.) for sale here on the board in the coming days. If it sells I might get started early. I love the 67-72's but have found over the course of the last couple years that my true passion is the 73-87's.

I wished I wasn't scared of wires. I need to paint the inside of my truck too. Looks good by way.

Awesome work on that Highliner man! Have you gotten a chance to "hear" it yet? I like the idea behind this...just not sure four 4" speakers would do it for me! Kinda a sound snob...

What brand of rubber coating did you use in there?

Awesome man, just awesome...and makes me want to two tone mine now!

Yeah, the speakers are not real high quality. For a stock radio like mine and me nearing age 40 I think they're fine. My days of people hearing me blocks away are done. With them only being about 8 inches away from your ears you dont need it very loud. When I do one of these in my '79 K20 it will get higher quality speakers installed, along with bigblock73's 6x9 brackets, etc.

BTW that's Dupli-Color undercoating. If you use it on the back wall of the cab like I did, you might consider painting it. I still smell that crap when I get in the truck... Maybe painting would "seal" the smell in?

Re: Blizzard of '87 interior remodel

They say "Highliner" when they should say "low end"
