What my boy drove to the prom
This year he is driving his pa-pa's '39 Chevy, hopefully next year he can take my truck.

Re: What my boy drove to the prom
Ron,
He is a junior, but he's only 16. He's very responsible, so my dad was cool with him driving it. They went and practiced a few days before the big night, as the 39 handles quite a bit differently than his Impala. He took his date and another couple, so all the parents were a little bit apprehensive about them going in a "hot rod". I thought it was cool of my dad to tell my boy to "go and have fun. The car is insured and if you bend it, we'll fix together."

I didn't stay in school long enough to go to prom so no stories to share here... and it will be another 12 years before my oldest daughter will be going... matt, I think you got the better deal both ways

Re: What my boy drove to the prom
sweet! I drove an 82' Olds Custom Cruiser - more space than all those cars combined! Unfortunately my date (my wife now) was really sick that night, so we stayed for about 20 minutes, and then I dropped her off straight home
