Re: Custom GMC grill…at UPull It.

I do believe I have seen this mod before!! LOL.
This is a sad story. IN Lutz Florida there is a 64 GTO. The guy has let it sit so long that 2 trees has grown up in front and in back of it.I stop on day to see if the guy would sell it. He tells me 500.00. 389, 4 speed car. Heck yeah I will give 500.00! Then he tells me I cant hurt the trees taking it out. I said how do you expect me not to hurt the trees? Both trees are grown into the bumpers! Cant get at the bolts on the bumpers... no way of getting it out of there short of cutting down at least one of the trees. So as far as I know its still sitting there.

Like I said ...sad story.

heck - Jack one end up until it's doing a wheelie and then pivot it sideways. Once it's out, if one of the trees is scratched, I doubt he'll make you put it back in.

Like grendel said, cut the bumpers. You can always find more bumpers.

Re: Custom GMC grill…at UPull It.

Now that the bumper and grill are a one piece unit will you ship it that way, JUST KIDDING. That is a interesting picture. That truck must of sat around for a few years. It should make a good conversation piece for years to come. This picture proves that GM tried to use real wood in the trim, ha, ha. Thanks for the picture.

Re: Custom GMC grill…at UPull It.

I used to know an old guy who had an equally old junkyard. Aside from his trailer hauler (BB 72 Cheyenne Super) he had a few neat rides in the junkyard. One was an early 30s? Chevy truck with dual rear wheels, with a fully grown oak tree coming out from between the frame rails. Another was a bullet nose Studebaker coupe with a large tree growing out from under the hood. Yet another was a Ford Econoline pickup (the flat-nosed things) that was in the same situation as the GTO described above, had trees grown through the front and rear bumpers..... Had a few other neat vehicles out there, a Studebaker pickup, a 69 Impala coupe with a 426 hemi under the hood (no, I don't know why) and a few early Chrysler hemi cars (50s). He's long since passed and the yard is gone too

Cool pic.

This grill is well protected inside the U-Pull It yard. (Jumping this fence is not recommended!) Junkyard dogs are the thing of the past!

Re: Custom GMC grill…at UPull It.

You cant tell in the picture but it's a double fence with the electrical high tension wires on the inside. Both fences are 12 foot!
(They just recently added this.)
