Memorial Weekend progress pics
Got a little done this weekend. Started off with this:
Ended up with this: Also got my rallies on. I tried them with center caps and spinners, but I like em just like this. I might get some bullet style push-trough centers, who knows. Also had to do the gerenration pic. Niether one of them were clean, so I didn't do any fancy staging. I could of got alot more done, but after all, Memorial Day weekend is for drinking beer, barbequeing, fishing, and drinking beer, so I got alot of that done, too. I plan on doing a writeup in suspension tomorow on the notch install.

Re: Memorial Weekend progress pics
It was a L O N G day! My cousins a welder by trade, so he came over and helped quite a bit. It was our first time doing something like this so there was plenty of trial, a lot of error, a good amount of Budwieser consumed and lots of standing around, looking at it and scratching our heads like this:

A few more. By the way, this was *****************'s first one for 67-72, and it went pretty damn good.
And just because I think welding pics look cool:

Re: Memorial Weekend progress pics
And this one might make a few mad, considering my truck lived most of it's life with a topper, and the box floor was rust-free and only had a few dings. And it was the only rust-free piece of metal on my truck. We used a diamond masonry blade in a Skil saw. Never would have thouhgt of that one on my own. Every now and then, the ol' man has some good ideas!
The ol man was *****ing the whole time! He just doesn't seem to understand my direction with this truck. The most commonly uttered phrases had to do with not being able to haul anything in there, ruining a perfectly good pickup and plenty of stuff I can't say here. Lets just say he's pretty old school. If you can't fix clearance issues with air shocks, it doesn't need to be done!

Re: Memorial Weekend progress pics
You're going to lose all your cargo through the whole in your bed... of course so will I! So tell your dad that it could be worse...

Re: Memorial Weekend progress pics
I think he would rather see mother nature cut a hole in my bed than himself! He settled down a bit when I told him that I plan on getting a chest-style tool box for my bed. Little does he know that my air ride stuff going in there.
