I'm also a Bleche-White fan - it works wonders. I usually buy it at my local Advance Auto Parts.

Re: raised white letter cleaner

I use Eimann Fabrik Tire Cleaner from Properautocare.com, although there may be other sources for it too. The results are great! Here's the link http://classic-motoring.stores.yahoo.net/eifaticl.html

Re: raised white letter cleaner

Bleche-white for me with a stiff plastic brush, I usually wipe it on with a rag and cover the wheel with a clean towel to keep the stuff off the aluminum.

Eagle One Tire and Wheel Cleaner works awesome IMO.

Bleche-White was what I used for YEARS,and my Dad used it for YEARS and YEARS before that. That stuff will choke you to death especially if the wind blows it back at you.

That is sooo true, that's what I use. My dad used it too for years, so I guess I grew up with it... He used it on his convertable top and white walls....... When he was done..... KA-CHOW! (you won't get that if you haven't seen cars)

Re: raised white letter cleaner

I've used Fantastic Multi-purpose household cleaner, since I was a teenager stealing my Momma's bottle of it. (which is more tens of years ago than I care to count).

I think it's the same stuff as Westley's Bleach-White, just a lot cheaper.

Looks & smells the same, & as stated above it's a "breath-taking experience" if you get a good lung full of it on a windy day.

Squirt it on your tire sidewalls & the tire black walls just run brown crud off of them, & the white letters or whitewalls sparkle white. Almost scrub-free, unless you've curb scuffed it.

I carry a bottle of it in the back of my Grand Cherokee & squirt the tire sidewalls with it even before I do a quickie drive thru wash. Amazing stuff.

Re: raised white letter cleaner

Man if Wally is not selling that bleach white stuff anymore I'm going to buy what they have left. I was there yesterday and I know they had plenty. I use only that and am always happy with the outcome.

Re: raised white letter cleaner

I'll throw my hat in this ring.... I have detailed cars for a few years, you can buy all of that stuff for your raised white letters, however, if you buy a gallon of the purple degreaser from home depot or Lowes use about 2 oz in a spray bottle fill the rest with water use this on your white letters it will save you tons of cash and won't hurt your tires. it removes all the brake dust as well. A gallon should last you for a LOOOONG time.

Here is a bonus tip " if you have problems getting wax off or your black plastic/vinyl trim use AVONS Skin so soft on a rag it will wipe right off" I know our trucks don't have this type of trim on them but thought I would give you this tip as well...

Thanks! I'll try that on my silverado (black textured trim everywhere!)

I know when I was told about this I belly laughed... there is no way that this would ever work to get the wax out of that trim..... UNTIL I tried it...
