doors

well i have searched and can not
find what i am looking for,know i
have seen it before ,anyhow what
doors if any are the same as a 1976
chevy? vans,burbs etc. ty for the
help.

long story short

73-76 pickups and burbs share the same doors. 77-87 will also fit, but the internals and door panels are different. Van doors are completely different.

So what you are saying is that you cannot use door panels from a 73/74 on a door from a a984 truck??

I haven't looked at them that closely but I always thought they were all stamped the same..

Correct. The older door panels are shorter and narrower. The later panels cover the inner panel from side to side, and cover the raised area as well. The doors were redesigned in '77 to allow for power windows. The manual window regulators have a longer shaft for the window crank also.

DANG!

I have a set of 89 suburban doors with power windows and a clean set of 1974 doors that are manual with intentions of updating the 74 internals and using the old school panels...not a chance i guess huh
