Gas Guage at 6 O Clock Postion

Hello. I have reasembeled my interior and i have noticed that my gas guage does not work. I had took the guage cluster out to changed the bezel. It worked before i took it out. I am geting no power at the fuse box. The guage use to be at the 3 o clock postion but now it has fallen to the 6 o clock postion. It does not move when i put gas in it. I have been told i have a bad ground. I have ran one from the firewall to the frame but still nothing. I no theres a ground coming off the harness but where should i ground it. Anyone with a similer problem? A solution would help thanks.
