its pretty simple there is going to be a few screws on the right side at the bottom. you will have to take off the dash bezel also. there is a screw on the side of the passenger and then it should just lift off.

I recently took my dash pad off. I would recommend you remove the front trim piece on both sides. I scraped mine when removing the dash pad. Also, you'll need to pull it a little forward then upwards to release the clips holding it down. There is a series of clips along the length that helps secure it to the dash.

Since you guys have had it off, you could tell me what I need to know... is there a 4x6 speaker right in the center, or just the 3.5" on the sides?

Thanks

There are smaller speakers on the sides and one in the middle. I dont think its a 4x6 though. I think its something weird like a 4X9 or something (I could be way off). Ill check tonight and see, if nobody posts the size by then, Ill post it for you.

EDIT:
no dimensions, but heres a link to check out:

its a 4x10 in the center. and if i'm not mistaken, you will have one or the other, not both. its either a 4x10, or the dual 3.5s.

That's what I want to know. How in the hell did she get in there and how did she get out? Or did you just cover her up and leave her there?

That's the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. LMAO.

I got that pic, and two others in email today. The explanation is that she was being smuggled into the US, and got caught by US Customs.

Here are the other two:

Every truck that came with a factory radio had two 3.5. "Aftermarket" radios had the center 4X10 (worst shape for a speaker ever!!!!) I switched out mine for a pair of Pioneers and they sound good! http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...TSA878&o=m&a=1

To take the dash out, take the trim panel off from under the steering column. Then take the gauge cluster bezel off (8 some odd screws). If you have an aftermarket radio (DIN style - the newer ones, not the old shaft type) it is much harder to do this. You need to shift the truck into 1st to take the panel off. Then take the 4-5 screws/bolts along the bottom of the dash on the passenger side. There is one last big screw on the end of it - you have to open the passenger side door to get to it & use an offset screwdriver. Don't forget to take the hose off of the passenger side air vent. To do this, open the glove box then crawl under the dash and jank both sides. Simply pull and the dash should slide off!

Or if you can't get to those air vents, just ask that girl to crawl under there for you. I think she could reach them from in there.

not true... a single 4x10 in the dash was the base radio, and the "stereo" optioned trucks got the dual 3.5" speakers in the dash. when i got my C10, that's all it had was a blown 4x10, with no wires, cutouts, or brackets for anything else.

Warning! Terrorists are watching!

I hope no terrorists are around this forum reading this post. It might give them ideas on how to enter the US illegally.
