1965 Gmc
Hey my name's Sara, I'm a new member to this forum and I've posted some pics of my '65 GMC pickup I recently bought.
It has a 327, a Dana 44 in the front and Dana 60 in the rear, 4:11's... Body is remarkably straight; paint could use a refresh in the near future. I love the color- can't decide whether to keep that or go to something different when the time comes. Don't think it was an original color combo, I have yet to research that. Re: 1965 Gmc
to the board from Idaho Sara!
That's one real nice '65 GMC 4x4 you have! You say it has a 'fuelie' motor...are you talking a 327 or something newer?

Re: 1965 Gmc
Welcome, Sara - slick truck.
Probably not an original color, but very close to one of the two I'm considering for my 66. |

Re: 1965 Gmc
I'd also like to take the lift down a bit to more of an original 4x4 stance...

Hello from Arizona and welcome to the board. That is a nice looking truck. Go on over to the 4x4 forum and check out all the 60-66 4x4's Chevy And GMC, while there post your pics on the thread "Lets see how many 60-66 4x4's are out there" Your truck will be a great addition to that thread.

Re: 1965 Gmc
I love that truck! I wouldn't change a thing.....except that seat cover. I'm rather partial to GMC's, and that's a nice example.

Re: 1965 Gmc--Factory Color?
WOW!!! First let me say Sara, that is a beautiful GMC!!!!! and welcome from South Dakota. I had to sell this '62 3/4 ton last September and even tho it was so rough I miss it badly. At least it was a caring board member that bought it.
Obviously it has a different GMC box than original with no way to know what year, but I am 99% sure that is original paint. The tailgate matches. I was just thinking that color could be a faded version of your trucks color. Hopefully some of the 60-66 experts here can add more info?? Just my opinion, but that truck looks great as is even with some fading! Did I say that you have a beautiful GMC??? Thanks for the pics Later---DAC
