Re: What did you get done? 06/08

Friday: went to mod the LS Thorley headers and found that once I got all the required parts in place they wouldn't work without a complete redesign.

Saturday: Reassembled the front seat on the crewcab and unbolted the rear. Was too hot to recover it so I just enjoyed the day with Jamie and Elizabeth

Re: What did you get done? 06/08

Well Friday I tore down my donor 76 long-bed to the frame. I also sold the rolling frame to a guy. He got the motor, trans, and rear end. They will be going in his Sand Drag K5 Blazer. My buddy and I started at 0900 and the guy picked it up at 4:30. MAN that was allot of work. I now have a PERFECT cab with no rust whatsoever. Now all I have to do is cut the floor out to make room for the 4spd and transfer case.

Other than that just buying paint and supplies to get the new cab done.

Oh yeah I also played with my new 4 month old son all day Sunday. We watched the formula 1 race and also the Cup race from Pocono. He LOVES the sound of the cars and the bright colors really keep his attention.

Saturday went to pick a part found.....NOTHING! Then went to a family BBQ.
Sunday I converted my '75 K10 to hydroboost brakes and smoked a pork shoulder from 7:00am to 7:00pm for pulled pork sandwiches!YUMMY!

That's rough. Good luck with that.

When it got too hot to continue laying brick on my patio and after I recovered, I started painting my headers and masked off the flat black border on the tailgate chrome.

I worked my tail off. We moved from Beaumont, Tx to Spring, Tx. Believe it or not 3 trips with a 26ft Uhaul and 3 trips with a 17ft Uhaul. Boy I was glad to go back to work today!

Like some of the others here, I went to show event - the Goodguys. Actually it was last weekend, but I got a few shots. I ended up talking to the business owner and builder of the Chevelle... very nice gentleman from St. Louis, MO.

The Duece was quite a rod... 'Two-tone paint treatment (gloss and flat black combo). I've been wanting to see such a combo. The motivation was also cool driving the massive 22" wide MTs. The interior was unique as well.

Re: What did you get done? 06/08

Oh, and this weekend I used my truck to pick up a new set of wheels. Originally, it was to replace my commuter. But, it may be relegated to road cruising. I guess I'm now committed to some long distance rides this summer. I gotta swap out a few things first...

Moved my vapor cannister from the D/S fender to the core support so I could get my D/S battery tray installed and a second Exide Orbital battery mounted in it. Battery cables to be installed at a later date. It's there just to keep it out of the way for now.

Re: What did you get done? 06/08

I know that this weekend is almost here, but last weekend was spent at a Family Reunion on my Wife's side. Lucky for me her uncle is a hot rodder. Sunday was spent going to church and then working on the yard. No truck stuff this time...

By the way, N2TRUX, I don't like you anymore...
I used to live in SA and really miss the food at Casa Rio. That is the first place we go eat at when ever we go back...I think that I got to check out that resort. That looks awsome. Hope you and your family enjoyed it!

It was awesome. The wind came up and gave us a break from the heat. The food was great and the company was even better.

It may have been my daughters birthday, but I got a lot of pleasure out of it too.

La Cantera is one of those places that you just have to experience.

My wife is Chinese. We came to meet some of her family and do some sightseeing. This is actually my forth trip here, the first three were business. I am finally getting to see something besides the inside of a factory. Two more days and then we leave for a week in Tokyo.
