Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

I've searched w/no luck, i'm going to be bagging the front of my 67 this weekend with the bracket-cup kit from suicide doors and am curious how close my tire will be to hitting the inner fender w/the stock spindle.. I'll be running a 20" wheel and 255-35-20 tire, and figure its going to be close w/out a drop spindle, but dont have tires yet and truck is torn apart so mock up isnt really an option. I just dont want to spend the $300 on spindles if it'll give me an extra 1/2" in the end Anyone have pics of these trucks w/just bags up front, no drop spindle..?????

Also what are you guys doing with the bumpstop up front, im guessing hack it off?? Using slam re7's w/bumpstop's internally... thanks guys!

Not exactly "how low w/o drop spindles". That truck doesn't have drop spindles but does have a 3" frame 'Z'.

South 89th and May ave, north Moore area..

Thats the truck that schic4ever posted that i was talking about, but i didn't know it was Z'd. i would just guess from that pic 3 in taller would be approx what you would be at. that would give you an idea at least

Re: Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

i cant seem to find my old pics of this setup but i was running a 275/60/15 and the fender was about an inch away from the outer most part of the fender well, it looked stupid with the rear lower than the front so i bit the bullet and got drop spindles looks way better IMO

Re: Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

pissonNOS.. you think your tires are larger overall than mine will be?? So your saying the truck could have went another inch lower w/a drop spindle

Can anyone just tell me how close i'll get to the inner fender w/the 255-35-20 and stock spindle?

Re: Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

i think i dropped more than an inch lower with the spindles the tire now hits the inner fender which i have to trim, i believe that the 275 is a 27inch tall tire someone else can confirm this im sure.

Re: Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

looks like your tires are 27.99" where mine will be 27.09" so about an inch of difference.. so anyone know now if a 27" tire on stock spindle will touch inner fender when fully aired out?????

Re: Bagged front w/stock spindle.. how low???

Even adding 3" to mine probably won't be correct, I also have about a 3" cup welded into my lower arms for the bag to sit in and a 1.25" sectioned crossmember. I cut the bump stop bracket off of my lower arms and the flat part of the arm almost touches the upper crossmember. Here's a pic to give you an idea of what I'm talking about
