Hard line water hoses
Greetings all, I'm probably crazy, but as usual, I got an idea..... Has anybody used hard pipe to make up radiator feed/draw lines? I keep thinking that I could have a local exhaust guy bend up some 1 1/2 aluminum pipe to closely match the stock hose bends then use a short piece of rubber hose at the inlet/outlet nipples to make the connections, like the lines on my Peterbilt. I think the polished aluminum would look very cool in the engine compartment, kinda like the lines on the old flat heads. I need a source for a straight up water neck on the manifold too (small block chevy) if anybody has any ideas, let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Re: Hard line water hoses
I had hard line water hoses when my 327 was in my truck. I did like haveing them in there. But I no longer have them as I switch to a 292 inline. I'm thinking of useing steel braided hoses now though.

Re: Hard line water hoses
I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but here's how I did radiator hoses for my '63 Chevy II...I will be doing the same thing for the '63 C-10
