Workin the 76

Doing what it does best, pullin junk that doesnt run. If I didnt have so many parts I could use on something else, this sucker would be going to China in tiny pieces. That and it has an extended cab so the kids have more room on the long trips, but if it doesnt freakin run what good is it?

As always the GM product runs and hasnt cost me that much. What I have paid for parts to try to get/keep the Phord running I could have built another GM.

The Phord died one day, lost injector pulse, fuel pump, and ignition. Have replaced everything under the hood and checked all the wires for continuity.... nothing. No more EFI Phords.

Now to get more torque out of this rat and set it up for alky...

Re: Workin the 76

Hey man , that phord might just have a tripped circuit breaker under the driverside dash . We had one at work that stranded a couple of our guys more than a couple times . There was a resettable switch under the dash on the drivers side . It is suppose to shut it down in case of a crash but they bumped a curb the first time and it shut down . We eventually had to bypass it because it went bad and shut down several more times . I think it was in the owners manual somewhere .

First thing I checked was the inertia switch.

I been thinking of swapping one of my Clevelands into it and an AOD instead of the electronic trans thats in it now. If it wasnt for the computer running the transmission it would have a carb by now.

Thanks theres more Pontiacs layin around where you cant see them..
