54 onto an s10
Well, I've finally got enough pictures to start a new thread. I'm doing the AD swap onto an s10. I've got the cab mounted and the engine tacked in. Gonna try to finish the engine and transmission this weekend. The engine is a 350 (was going to be a 327 but that'll be saved for a future project) and a 3 speed saginaw. I'm running a 4 link and Camaro rear end. Airbags at all 4 corners.
Here's the rear end Here's everything in mock up stage. Cab is mounted but I wanted to see what the rest of it would look like. And just for sh!t$ and giggles here's a buddy's of mine laid out in the shop. |

Re: 54 onto an s10
I'm leaving it as is. I bought it with the intention of leaving it completely alone just doing the suspension and drivetrain. I love the paint job Mother Nature put on it.

I kinda wish I would've done this. I would've been on the road by now! Looks good! Is it laying frame?

Re: 54 onto an s10
No. My buddy's is on an AD frame. It's either camaro or nova clipped. It was already done when he bought the frame.
As for laying frame.......hell yeah it is. I did almost all the suspension work before we set the cab. We used a lift to lower the cab till it with the running board that was laying on the floor. Then we went from there as far as mocking everything up. |

Re: 54 onto an s10
Got the engine and transmission mounted on Sunday. Took us about 4-5 hours to get it all mounted and the timing right.
