Just saying Hello and its nice to be here!

Hi all my name is Rod from Mississippi,I bought this truck off the showroom floor when I was 17 years old,it was two tone and chrome and since it was kinda beat up when I started working on it I took it off and welded up the holes,Its a 1980 scottsdale it had 350,auto,air,powersteering ,Now its 350 4 bolt main,64cc double hump 461 heads 202-160 valves,trw forged pistons,pink rods,comp cam .562in .557ex lift duration 265- 276 @ .50 solid cam,full roller rockers ,.20 over push rods,victor jr.intake shaved .30,holly 780 double pump,msd 6al ignition,msd billet dist.,full manual th350 bte tranny,12 bolt truck rear end with 513 gears,30/10.5/15 m&h racemaster slicks,hurst shifter,dyno says 590 hp.and yeah PTC 5000 stall

Welcome from Louisiana! Nice truck. Looks like we have a similar motor setup except I'm stroked to 383. What's your truck run in the 1/4? I'm dieing to know what mine does. Check out the link in my sig to my truck. I know it's a lot of pages but it gets better toward the end haha.

We run 1/8 it will do 7.20,7.30 in 660' at about86 87 mph but it is a standard bore 350 I've got a couple more blocks to build the 383 just have to get the rest of my parts for my heads and new intake ,we all still run the old 60's cast heads on our stuff, found they will take more abuse than the alluminum ones, we get just as much power,but weigh a little more,the next motor will have 205 valves in it.
