68 LWB Door Emblems
I've been a "lurker" here for a few years now and really enjoy this site when I can get to it. If I have a question, I can usually find an answer here! But can't find one to this.....Can someone tell me how I can tell what door emblems go on a 68 pickup? They came out as either the "Custom" or the "CST". This truck had them at one time & I want to put them back on. Should be able to tell by mfg's sticker right?
Thanks Raymo |

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
custom came with a bench seat, cst had bucket seats. Both had padded door panels and a delux horn button.

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
in 68, the buckets were no longer part of the CST package, so scratch that.
Is the SPID (option sheet) still on the glove box door? Do you have photos of the truck? There's a thread in FAQ that shows the options and what was in each package... I'll dig for it... |

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
Is there another way of finding this stuff out with out the options sheet ?
I bought a 68 and the guy I have bought the truck from painted the glove box. or maybe a easy way of removing the paint.

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
Does the truck have an original rubber mat or carpet? Is the horn button all metal or have a clear center? Is there any remains of the original seat upholstery?

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
dusty, go to the link I just posted, the one right above your post, and read it. You'll see where I have option packages listed. Read those. Then look at your truck. You should be able to figure out if you have a CST or what.

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
Thanks Tim. I thought I had typed it all out. I coulda sworn...
OK, here is the one I typed out for the 67... which, other than the buckers in the CST, and I *think* the nice horn byutton listed in the CST... the option packages are pretty darn close to the 68 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=121155 My apologies. |

Re: 68 LWB Door Emblems
Thanks! That helped. Found the glove box info. It is a CST, 4Z84XL. Now I can order the door emblems & start getting some of the trim on.
