GMC 4X4 V-6 Engine Mounting

Does anyone have a pic of how the V-6 mounts into the frame of a 4X4? I'd like to know if it's the same as for 67-69, I'm looking for a crossmember and motor mounts to convert a small block truck to a V-6. Thanks!

Bob

I'll try to get some for you tomorrow. It may be tough getting good shots of them. There is no forward engine crossmember on mine, but one under the bell housing. Is that the one you mean?

Re: GMC 4X4 V-6 Engine Mounting

I was wondering if there was one up front where it would be on a 67-72. I'll take another look at the NAPCO and compare that with your pics when you get them, maybe the NAPCO uses the same motor mount setup as the production line 4X4s.

Yep, here they are. They're similar to the ones in my 65 NAPCO but mine bolt in. Thanks for sending the pics!

Re: GMC 4X4 V-6 Engine Mounting

Yes, I did, thanks for sending them. Your motor mounts look different and you have an actual crossmember as well. I wonder if it depends on the year. Yours were from a 1960, right?
