65 Sub

Like to introduce my self...my name is Tony everyone calls me Tone.
I live in Rochester (upstate New York)
I have a bunch of projects,
95 Impala SS
64 Impala Wagon
88 Crew Cab Dually
And i picked up a 1965 Carry All about two weeks ago.
It about 95% rust free just has some minor damage on the rear quarters.
I have a bunch of plans for it...First its going in black or rust color primer. Then disk brakes, air suspension and a channel job.
On some 24" rollers.
I know how everyone loves pics so ill post them as i go.
Im sure ill have a ton of questions on what parts are good and what ones aren't??

Tone

Re: 65 Sub

Tone, I grew up in Brockport New York and moved to the tenth ward of Rochester as an adult. I also lived in Palmyra for a few years after I got married. We sure do appreciate a clean "rust free" old truck or car after experiencing the winter salt baths. I now live in lower Pennsylvania and brought my sixty three C10 with me.

Welcome,
Rick

check out this guys build thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=217445
he was putting 22's on a burb.
I don't think that you would need to chanel it, these trucks can lay frame and rocker without a chanel.
A dropmember, and a massive c notch is probably all you would need if you are going the air route.

I already did the math and it will still be a half inch of the ground after it lays frame.
I know a half inch isnt much to some...but i like em LOW.
It wouldnt be like a real channel job...i think i could just slide the body mounts down some.
Well see?

Re: 65 Sub

With a halh inch, you might be able to just solid mount the body, the rubber cushions are at least a half inch.
