New cab mount question
I'm researching before I install the new mounts and I think I'm more confused now than I was before. With this kit (COUNTERPART 67-5001) the four cab mounts, or cushions, are different sizes in height. There are two that are thicker than the other two. From what I researched, this sounds like mounts for a 4wd. Also, the core support mounts have a much smaller diameter insert than the holes in the frame. I'm digging through the old stuff that I took out 6 months ago and I can't quite figure out if this is right or not. I've noticed that this kit is a more generic kit than what GMCPaul's carries on his website. I googled the part number and found a few others that carry this kit and claim it is for a 67-72 1/2 ton 2wd. I just can't make sense out of it...

Re: New cab mount question
ttt
The thread I linked below has me a little confused. The mounts I have are hard rubber They look like the ones in this thread, but I can't tell from the picture if they are all the same size or not. I have two that are thicker and need to know if this is OK and if the thicker ones are supposed to go in the rear.. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=thicker+mount

Re: New cab mount question
Wow, I rarely see posts go unanswered.. Nobody knows enough about cab mounts to let me know if the rear mounts are supposed to be thicker than the front mounts on a 2wd half ton?
I'm not concerned about the core support anymore because I found what was left of the original mounts and they are the same. I'm questioning the cab mounts however because I have read conflicting information on this and I've already had to buy new hardware for the core support because what they sent in the kit was completely wrong. I don't want to try to line up the front end only to find at that point that I have the wrong mounts in the rear..... Anybody?

Re: New cab mount question
Ya the 4wd mounts are different sizes. The 2wd are all the same. You can look at the picture in LMC's catalog here

Re: New cab mount question
Thanks Riveted1! The link to LMC is one that I had looked at, but cannot tell from that picture if two of the mounts are thicker by about a 1/4" like the ones I have.
Actually, I finally thought to call the supplier that I got the kit from just now and he confirmed that the two thicker mounts go in the rear of the cab.
