Police paid me a visit tonight
Well as many of you know, I just got my Blazer running. I pulled (literally pulled) ol' yeller out of the garage Wednesday night at about 10 past 8. I thought it was still early enough to finish breaking in the cam. I fired it up and opened her up to 2k r.p.m. (open headder). I ran it for about 20 minutes then shut it down at 8:35. After it had cooled off a bit I started to push it back in the garage. I happened to look over my shoulder to see the the heat walking up to me. He asked if i was working on my Blazer. I said hell yes, I'm breaking in the cam, but it's been off for about 45 minutes. Apparently one of my kick a$$ neighbors ratted me out. My first thoughts were sumbeach. Then, what the hell. Oh well, right. The cop was cool. He didn't care about the call so much as he did my Blazer. He told me that as long as the sun is up it was o.k. to do what I was doing. He didn't know who called in, but I suspect it's the weirdos next to me that talk to my dog more than they talk to me. I guess this counts as my first run in with the law in the Blazer. Just thought I'd share that with you guys. Remeber, snitches get stitches. Ha ha. Mario

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
I would've agreed w/ya on the time. I think anything before 10pm is game. But some people just like to be PITAs b/c they have nothing better to do. Glad the cop was cool.

its one thing to piss them off at night i like firing my 10 up at about 4:30 am.

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
I agree with the cop, if its still daylight its ok. Anyway thats why I can't see my neighbors and they can't see me. I am glad u got it running, I always cringed when I rev'd it up at 2k for the break in, but it always went well. How did it run?

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
RUNS AWESOME!!!!!! The oil pressure seemed a little high, but no overheating or cooling issues. It had to be a close neighbor though, they knew it was a Blazer and not a bronco. BTW, it has only been out of the garage twice since i moved in. Like I said, it was probably the weirdos that never cut thier grass, or clean up thier crap next door. Oh well, I guess you can't be liked by all. My Blazer is finally breathing after owning it for 13 months and that is the important thing. I can't wait to put the flo's on it and get the tranny rebuilt. I'll be starting Ol' Yeller up every morning at 6:45. Mario

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
Hmmm, around here the City issues citations to people who don't cut their grass, especially the ones that don't cut their grass and call the police to report that their neighbor with a Blazer is making to much noise

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
Well when you live the life of an outlaw....... Just kidding guys. I went over to the neighbors and apologized; Soprano style. Kidding too. As far as the run-ins, hopefully so. Those days are long gone, I'm a family man with an awesome wife and Blazer. What else could I want.

Re: Police paid me a visit tonight
As a police officer, you have to go on stupid noise complaint calls all of the time. Most of the time it's music or a dog. Every once in a while I'm lucky enough that it's a classic of some sort. Some people just need something to ***** about. Probably the same people that complain about fireworks at 9 pm on July 4th.

Yup, those are the types of people that can't function w/o disfunction. The officer really liked Ol' Yeller. I really can't wait to start driving it.
