2 or 4wd

ben doing some thinking, plus with the issues the clutch on the burb is giving me i was thinking about converting it to automatic.

Do you think I should keep it 4wd and just try to find a tranny and case or should I make it a 2wd and just put my O/D in it?

If I make it 2wd should I go with coil or leaf suspension?

Re: 2 or 4wd

I think I would repair it, and if you wanted a 2 wheel drive, sell it and buy one, or locate someone willing to trade.
4X4 anything from this generation is in too much demand to swap it into a 2 wheel drive.

Re: 2 or 4wd

Like Longhorn Man said, the 4x4's are in demand. Not to mention that a switch to two wheel drive is going to be very involved project.
There are other options you could do, you could buy a long bed truck and switch your body over.
You could buy a two wheel drive suburban and trade all your good parts off yours onto that one, then when you are done you could sell the 4x4.
Just a thought.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Don't convert it to 2wd, that's a sin in my book. I agree, if you want a 2WD sell it and buy one, heck of a lot easier.
