I think this is beyond unacceptable. *****************

I read alot of reviews on ***************** and decided to order from them. I put alot of parts in the shopping cart and made sure they were all in stock. I ordered the parts and paid with visa. They sent me a verification sheet of everything i had ordered with a tracking number.
I get home today and find my box of goodies waiting for me. Im excited because i can get the rest of my air suspension done and get the cab on like i had planned. I open the box and the first thing i see is my bill. I go over it and everything looks good. I read the second page and there is a hand written note with 11 items on this list. This list is a BACKORDER SHEET.
I immediately tear through the box and verify that they have sent me less then half my order. No valves, no airlines, no fittings. I check the bill and figured they would bill me for what they have sent. NOPE. They billed me the whole amount and gave me zero notification of when the new parts will arrive....

To say the least im beyond pissed off right now. I have half my parts, billed full price, and have NO date as to when my other parts will arrive. Is this standard practice??? Im debating on whether or not i should cancel my credit card transaction and return their items..... On their dime.

Before you get to pissed, make a simple phone call. I wouldn't play to tough guy role and try to ship them back on their dime, you ordered the parts and they took the money from the credit card. What would you dispute and why?

If you go into most auto parts stores, you need 3 items, they have 2 and order one, you pay for all three and only walk out with 2.

Before you jump to conclusions, give them a call in the morning and see what they say, be patient.

I'm not trying to be an ass.....

Are the parts you are missing ones that you can get somewhere else. I would be upset with the lack of communication and call someone else and verify they had the parts you need in stock and call and cancel the remainder of my order. Then order the rest from another vendor.

I'd phone first and see how they handle it. If they are not apologetic and give you the run around then cancel the card authorization. Me myself, after working on my Burb am fed up with most companies/suppliers taking my money not caring if they screw up. Out of all I've dealt with, only one apologized, sympathised with me where they let me keep the wrong product AND shipped me the correct one asap.

just my opinion.

So... you think they have an endless supply and NO ONE else is ordering that exact part? C'mon dude, be realistic!!!!

Not only did you get billed for everything that you did not get, but now you are going to pay freight AGAIN for the backorder stuff. I will say that is is unnaceptable. Return everything and re order from a more reliable company.

They didnt send me my order. I would dispute that. Let them work out the rest.

If you go into most auto parts stores, you need 3 items, they have 2 and order one, you pay for all three and only walk out with 2. Parts are part of what i do at my job. You dont take someones money unless its a special order part. These arent special order parts. They are parts that are in stock. At the BARE MINIMUM you send an email stating that certain parts are back ordered.

Before you jump to conclusions, give them a call in the morning and see what they say, be patient.

I'm not trying to be an ass.....
I have no choice but to be patient. I honestly dont care what they say. I want to hear "parts are here now and are on their way". If i hear anything else im going to request a return shipping label and cancel the transaction with my cc company.

I normally order from KPlinks or suicide. Parts of the order are just some 3/8smc valves.

I dont want anything for free... I dont want a credit or a tshirt. I want what i ordered. Before this weekend. thats not to much to ask for. If they told me last week that they didnt have it, WHEN I CALLED, i would of went somewhere else.

Thats a bit strong. If you dont have the parts in stock, AT the very least, have a f#$king date as to when the new ones will be in... THATS not to much to ask for.

This is not true. He was charged upfront for all freight charges they will simply ship the items when they come in. No further charges.

I have orderd from suicidedoors many times and have had to wait for back orders and the longest I have ever had to wait is like 2 weeks. usually it is only a few days to a week.

Those guys are usually really cool. They have a new guy that answers the phone that kinda sucks. Maybe he is they guy you talked too. Call and ask for Jason he's the guy to talk to. Tell him what happend

I agree with the majority of the guys here... and another point is that they did bill you for the complete order and you only recieved some of the stuff. Usually as far as I have ever done online orders they only bill you for what is shipped, but that may be the policy of the individual company. As far as I am concerned thats a bunch of BS...

I will never understand how any company can not know whats in stock and whats not. How hard is it to go into the warehouse and see if a part is there or not.I have been through this with many different companies, and it just pisses me off to no end.

Re: I think this is beyond unacceptable. *****************

I went through this recently with NOPI.com. It was the only place I could find NGK wires for a 99 corolla for a decent price. While i was at it, they had NGK wires for my S-10 for only $20 or so, so I ordered those as well. I got a call later that day that the corolla wires were on backoreder until early August (this was early july.) They asked if I would like my S-10 wires now, I say sure, but then he said they'd have to charge me shipping twice. I was like, no. I'll wait for both. Early august comes, no wires. I call them back, they're on backorder until mid september now They can send me my S-10 wires, for extra shipping! No thanks! I FINALLY got a box at my door last friday with both sets of wires.

I think it would have at least been "decent" of them to send my S-10 wires for "free" for having to wait over 2 months for the corolla wires. Customer service people were nice. It's not their fault stuff is on backorder.

yup i have always had good experiences with SSD. they do backorder parts from time to time, yes they charge you up front, they dont charge shipping out the backorders. doesnt take them long to get you the backorders. Jason is the guy to talk to if there are any issues. but i dont think its a good choice to come on here bad mouthing them BEFORE calling them and discussing the problems with THEM. JMHO

Bad mouthing? Im just stating the facts. No email, no notice what so ever. Nothing. Im just being honest and letting people know what happened.

Funny story is i ordered a part from early classics yesterday. they showed it in stock and i ordered. I get a call today on my personal cell phone from them stating it was back ordered and out 1 week.. ahaha. I said send it when it comes in, thanks for the call. THATS all i wanted...

When was the last time you talked to Jason? Jason is in the office about 10 minutes a day from what the two guys answering the phone says. I told them to keep the ordering going. I was going to cancel but decided against it since they sent me some parts that are missing other parts, and i dont think i would get my correct shipping refunded to me yaknow....

Crappy situation... I just would of liked the optioin ya know.
