Re: POWER STEERING-PRESSURE HOSE Help

I got one from NAPA that didn't come up that high. It was for a 2WD SBC (350).
You may want to grab one just to see if it will help. The crimp on it ended about where the frame edge is. Yours goes clear over it.

Re: POWER STEERING-PRESSURE HOSE Help

No Luck Dean it's the same one I already have the only difference is the rubber part of the hose is shorter and it is made of aluminum VS mine is steel! I guess I will try cutting it and take it in to a shop and getting it flared I see no other alternative! Auto Zone Autoparts shows two different ones with pictures online I can try them but I may need to speacial order it and I might be stuck with it if it doesn't fit!! Don't know their return policy on speacial orderd parts!!!!! Thanks I was hoping it would have worked.....
The first picture shows the one I have and the one you have ! The second Picture shows what apears to look somehthing like my old one on the long bend on the bottom!!! What do you think?

I have one like that, and ended up bending it quite a bit to fit.

Re: POWER STEERING-PRESSURE HOSE Help

It looks to me like you could just loosen it up and angle it down. Might have to take the return line off. Or take the other end off from the gear box. Mine has a semi "loop" in it.

It hits the block When attempting to tighten the belt the header isn't the only problem!!!

Re: POWER STEERING-PRESSURE HOSE Help

This is what I did. I had one custom made and then I ran it thru the chassis problem solved. I bought three different ones and none of them solve my problem. See picts....

Re: POWER STEERING-PRESSURE HOSE Help

I wouldn’t even mess around with those Chinese aftermarket replacement hoses. They never seem to fit right. With all of my engine swapping, serp belt conversions, etc , I find it much easier just have a local hydraulic shop custom make the hoses to your liking so you can route them however you want. Custom hoses actually don’t cost much more than the Chinese repop aftermarket hoses. My local Napa store makes hydraulic hoses and A/C hoses. Check your local Napa and see if they can make you a custom set.
