whats wrong
when i am out and about town driving my truck, when i come to a stop sign or light whenever i apply the gas to get going the truck will sit there for a little bit before it goes and then when it goes it goes with a jolt like i have a gear slipping or something, but it only does this when i am driving slowly if i ma out hot rod'n it, it is just fine and drives with no problem any and all help would be appreciated

Could be the accelerator pump in the carb. What engine and carb do you have? Real common with the Rochester one bbl on sixes.

If you have done any Hot Rod stuff to the motor, you might think about a stall convertor. 5 or 600 exrta rpm might do it.

the truck is running a 350 with 202 heads edelbrock performer intake and carb and a mild cam not sure what kind, and it has a th350 tranny

I agree with Fred T, check the accelerator pump cup on your Edelbrock carb (Carter AFB). If they sit for any period of time, the cup will rot out and crack. As long as you keep soaking it with new fuel, they seem to last forever.
Did the carb sit for any period of time?

I agree.... Take a look at the accelerator pump. You should be getting a good shot of fuel into the venturi when you pump the gas.

sounds like trans. trouble. Chec kthe fluid level & service the fluid & filter if it hasnt been done in a while, unless the fluid is very dark & burned smelling then i would just find another tranny or get yours out & rebiuilt.
