Bag brackets for the front.
I know this has been asked, but i cant find it anywhere. Its probably alot easier then i think but how do you mount the front plates for the air bags and the cups???
I have found articles on this before in the past and now that i need it, i cant find it again. ahaha.. Here is a pic of the brackets and cups im talking about. |

The cups will just bolt to the bottom of the bag.
The best way I found to mount the plates is to clamp them to the crossmember and center punch through the 4 mounting holes. I had a piece of vacuum tube over the punch and wrapped electrical tape around that until it was about the same size as the hole in the plate. Centered up nicely. Remove the plate and drill a smaller pilot hole first then drill the 7/16 hole for the bolt. Watch out for brake lines and hot shavings. It's possible to just drill through the holes in the plate but I didn't want to chip the powder coat off. It is a lot easier if the lower control arm is off the truck and you will probably have to remove the steering-stop anyway so yank 'em. |

The cup just bolts to the bag and sets in the spring pocket in the LCA. I'll look to see if I have a picture.
