I have a '72 4 x 4 and I'd like to reduce road noise in the cab. Can you all tell me what dynamat-type products you have used and how well they worked?

Also, how many square feet do I need to buy to cover all of the floor (including under the seats), behind the gas tank, and in the doors?

I used FAT MAT RATTLE TRAP in my 72 the florr, doors, behind the gas tank the roll was like $100 some, but very easy to install it made a big diffrence just closing the doors, I have not drove it yet, still short a few parts to be able to drive on the street yet

How much was required to cover those areas? Did you use the whole roll? How big was the roll? Did you do the inside of the doors too?

I used Dynamat extreme in my 67 Chevelle. AMAZING!!!
We all know how much heat a zz502 can radiat thru a car. I could drive this car in the summer in Florida barefooted. No resonance thru the floor boards. Put some on the inside of the roof, all of the floorboards, and used their spray in product inside of the doors. I just finished using FATMAT in a 71 4x4 Blazer. The owner asked me what I did with his Blazer, cause this one was WAAYY too quite inside.

I have Dynamat all over the inside of my cab ,and inside the doors. If I remember correctly it took around 44 sq. ft. Dynamat is kind of expensive though so be prepared. The results are worth the money in my opinion.

money well spent I also put some jute on top off it maybe $100.00 for everything

I think I'll buy 100 sq feet of it - this way I can do behind the gas tank, on the gas tank, and double up in a few other places.

Yeah I use Stinger Roadkill in our builds (like Dynamat Extreme, but less $) works awesome! Yea 100sqft should do windshield to back glass and doors no problem.
