69-72 Black Steering Wheel NICE!!!
I have a super nice black steering wheel that I would like to TRADE for a blue one in similar condition. You will be hard pressed to find one nicer than this, unless it is NOS in a box. I think this wheel could pass for NOS with some "shelfware". It is close to 40 yrs old and has some small scratches, but there are NO cracks whatsoever. The horn button is in PERFECT shape with all the tabs intact, and all of the mounting hardware is clean and rust free. This is an OEM wheel and the part number on the back is 9749753 It is all original and has NOT been painted or epoxied.

The blue & olive repro wheels are to show comparisons to the blue/green color in the center.
I don't know what that blu/grn wheel is from, but it is nice with no cracks. Will that work for you? |

Re: 69-72 Black Steering Wheel NICE!!!
I was informed that the black wheel that I have is correct for my truck. My truck is blue, and I thought that the steering wheel was supposed to match the rest of the interior, but was told that with a tilt column, black was correct. So, I no longer wish to trade this one for a blue one...sorry. I do have a driver quality black wheel that I will be posting for sale later. It is not as nice as this one. Thank you for your pics and interest. I actually like the color of the re-pop wheel as the blue is closer to the color of my truck.

Black is correct for all tilts...but, If I am not doing a 100% correct repro, I actually like to paint my tilts truck color with a color-matched steering wheel too. It just looks better, IMHO.
What do you think? |

Re: 69-72 Black Steering Wheel NICE!!!
Very sweet, and I am glad to see the low back buckets in your Blue Blazer looking so freakin' sweet in there! I have been holding onto them thinking they would work nice in my 2wd Blazer or a Burb soon to be bought??!! Based on your picts they will indeed look and function very nice. BTW does the seat flip up on PS or did you just settle for the back flipping forward??

Re: 69-72 Black Steering Wheel NICE!!!
The ps back folding forward is really all that is needed on a 2wd lowered. The tracks let them slide forward far enough to step into the rear area.
We put a 94 bench, with this same pattern & fold down arm rest, into a 67 Sub a few years ago. Also very comfortable and easy drill & mount in our flat floors. |

Re: 69-72 Black Steering Wheel NICE!!!
Those look real nice Frank! I posted another black wheel for sale...probably not up to your standards, but I thought I would mention it. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=312604
If I ever get some cash, I am goning to pick up one of those BB power steering hoses you had made. They look fantastic. |
