Gulf Coast Members

I have been talking to a few area board members about a summer meet. We were thinking of doing it near Pensacola so it is in the middle for all the folks in LA, MS, AL GA, FL and others who wanted to join.
Any input would be very helpful. Would we want to plan on a full weekend event, or a day’s cookout? Ideas of where to hold it? Who can run a grill? Do we want to bring the families? What month would be best?
Please give us some input and an idea of who would want to come and who might want to help set it up.
Thanks,
Mario

I vote for Nawlins....it's in the middle... Hey you left out the best state on the Gulf Coast... surely that wasn't intentional.

Pensacola it too far for me...That's probably 5 or so hours. I won't be ready for at least three months, however. We do go to Destin every couple of years, but the whole family won't fit in the truck!

Pensacola is 5 hours from Jacksonville and the Nawlins area. There may be folks west of New Orleans and it sound like folks south of Jacksonville. Pensacola is about the middle of the Gulf coast. Destin is an hour or so east.

Mario,

I am North of Gulfport. There are several places here. I would
go to Florida.

Hey I'm there....Hey I been there. Course Ed might have to tow my truck if anyone actually wants to see the mess I am making. Don't know my summer schedule yet, but I'd like for more of us to meet up somewhere.

The Goodguys Spring Nationals has moved to Tallahassee this year from Orlando. It's March 28, 29, 30th. Sounds like a good place to meet.

Hmmmm... As far as locations go, i'd have to say somewhere on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This would be pretty close to half-way for our Gulf Coast members. If my schedule allows, and depending on the location, count me in !! My truck wont be ready, but i'd still go just to be able to meet everyone !!
