76/82 GMC daily driver budget rebuild
My daily driver 76 GMC was getting a little rusty, the floors were ready to fall out and the frame was shot. I picked up a 82 GMC short bed frame and cab,87 step side bed,90 blazer nose and what ever else I was going to need and started the rebuild. I took all the parts from my 76 (engine, trans, rear, front susp, wiring etc)and put it in the 82. This truck will be my daily driver so I did not take the time to repaint everything and make it look new,it will be used like a truck should. I still have to install the windsheild, put the bed on and a few other items so I should be back on the road soon, next spring it will get a paint job. I only have $950 tied up in this truck as of now. Ed

Re: 76/82 GMC daily driver budget rebuild
Your parts truck reminds me of the stuff I use to drive on the road in Pennsylvania (till they caught me and took them off the road ) growing up or when I was stationed in northern Japan. Noting a little carpet or rubber mat wouldn't hide. (for a while )
