ground straps
My 80 has a couple of weird electrical gremlins that I'm trying to figure.I figured I should check the cab to frame ground strap to rule it out,but I can't find it.I know the 72's is from the right front cab mount to the frame,but the 80's wasn't there.Is that where it is supposed to be?

One I can think of is in the rear passenger side cylinder head to the firewall.

yes, there is a body one on the bed and the cab, the cab one was on the rear drivers body mount and the bed was one the front of the bed to frame on the drivers side. add your own from the firewall to the frame

The battery ground, goes to the top alternator bracket. It also has a smaller wire that goes to the front core (radiator) support.
I moved my battery ground to the bottom long alternator bolt. I like it there better out of the way. I couldn't hurt anything to add extra grounds of thicker gauge. But starting with the stock ground would be a good start.
