Steering wheel
I'm looking for a steering wheel. I don't like the giant stock ones (what size is the stock one, 17"?), and I had a pretty small steering wheel in my 72 GMC that I really didn't like either. I think that was 13.5". So I'm thinking a 15" wheel would be about right (does this seem right?)
So lets see some steering wheels. What do you like or dislike about it. ie can you see your gauges or whatever. I'm kinda thinking a nice wood one would be good, but I'm not sure. |

Re: Steering wheel
I have a nice one from a Z-28 (15")...but I went back to the giant stock one (17") because I could not see my guages when the column was tilted in the down position.

Re: Steering wheel
Here is my favorite wheel to use on the personal/keeper rigs, they are 15" dia. and kinda have that period type look and feel to them. This type original GM sport wheel can be found/had in several different colors, use the 67/68 camaro wood/sport wheel hub for an easy oe/correct looking install.

Re: Steering wheel
I got this out of LMC and think it's a perfect fit in my truck.

Re: Steering wheel
It depends. If you don't have power steering, the bigger they are the better they feel, as long as you have skinny legs. lol
