Used Ignition Components

Should I trust used MSD stuff on craigslist? Stuff like new HEI Dizzys and 6AL boxes? Or should I look for new stuff?

Re: Used Ignition Components

Im lucky to have several race cars shops around me and most of them have the tools to test MSD electronics . If the parts are reasonable I'd take a chance . MSD is located in El Paso, Texas and there customer service has been excellent everytime i have delt with them . you just go online and fill out a form and make to copies . Put one in the box , they call you with an estimate and next thing you know it's back good as new .

Re: Used Ignition Components

I believe even a completely fried box can be sent to MSD and rebuilt for reasonable prices. Check out their forums or call them for the price. If the seller is asking a premium price, ask to see it run first.
