Re: Gave ECE a call........

I finally got the new springs and Super track bar installed. It didn't make a dramatic difference yet, but the springs should settle about another 1/2 -3/4" which will be perfect. The pics in the beginning post are just after the truck was put together and the old springs hadn't settled.

As promised, here are pics. I took them in about the same spot as before for better comparison.

Matt, it's perfect, now I just need your exact drop
spec's so that I can get parts for my 2wd Project.
(Don't worry I will use a different set of wheels)

Re: Gave ECE a call........

Craig, it's 2.5" drop spindles and 1" drop springs in front and 5" rear springs in the rear. 3.5/5 drop.

I wouldn't be offended if you had the same wheels.......I like them.

I have the 1'' springs and 2.5 drop spindles, and there was no problem aligning it.

Re: Gave ECE a call........

i ordered a set of 5" rear springs from ccp. but it still wasnt low enough so i cut off the end of a set of trailing arms and stacked them on the stock set. of course i got longer u-bolts but it gave me another 2 3/4" drop and it rides like a caddy. i did this on my red 72 and my blue 68.

Re: Gave ECE a call........

Thanks guys! Yeah I love it now. I just need to center the rearend and I'm good to go. I also didn't have any clearance issues with my exhaust.

I took some more pics that came out better.

What's the wheel/tire size?

Thanks,

Re: Gave ECE a call........

Hey Matt,

Nice lookin' truck !! Looks much better now with the rear down more.

Thanks for postiing those shots of it. It's a big help to me, since our trucks look so much alike. I've been lookin' all over the web for some shots like those !!

I'm not planning on going as low as you did in the front, so I think mine will come out about right with 2.5 drop spindles and 4" spings in back.

I'm curious about the tire sizes too. What are you running on there??

Thanks again.

Re: Gave ECE a call........

I know this one, the hood is from any Board Vendor here,
that one in question came from Tim @ Christians Classics.

Luv is right about the hood.
