Source for replacement tie rod?

I got to looking at my tie rod and its as crooked as a dogs hind leg. Anyone know of an online source for a replacement?. I see tie rod ends all over the net.
I have a 72 K-10. THX

You're going to have to upgrade to a 73-76 setup. I looked all over the net when I had my 71 Blazer and nobody had the 71 set up...

According to LMC's catalog all Tie Rod ends for 67-72 K-10's should be the same....Does yours have one or two adjustable ends?

If yours has two....I have a brand new quality set of MOOG tie rod ends that I could make you a good deal on...

I bought them for my truck and then wound up upgrading my Dana 44 to a later model with disk brakes and it had a different style tie rod....

Sounds like he's asking about the drag link, also called center link, not the tie rod ends...

OK maybe I have my terminology screwy.. I need the rod between the ends. I assumed If they were called "tie rod ends" the thing in between (which is what I need) would be called a tie rod. If it's a drag link I stand corrected ..thanks.

It's not correct, but you can use one from a 73-77 blazer, pickup or suburban that has a Dana 44. You will have to get the tie rod ends to match though. I wasn't able to find a replacement drag link for a 71-72 Dana 44...

No...your right...thats the tie rod....Most guys just assume that replacing a tie rod....means replacing the ends.....but you need to replace the actual tie rod itself!

I haven't seen them for sale new in any of the regular chevy truck supplier catalogs....best bet would be to ask around the classifides section or check out a local junk yard....

Hey now that I think about it....I have one that I took off my old Dana 44 Axle.....I scrapped the housing but saved the tie rod...It's off a 70 K-10.....has tie rod ends on both sides...it's straight...just needs cleaning and paint....I'd part with it real cheap!

Huh?.....Drag links are for sale at nearly every parts house....for all 67-72 trucks...Granite they are the three piece design....not the original one piece style...but they are available

I believe he is talking about the part in the bottom pic between #1 and #2, the one that isn't highlighted. I checked at Napa for my 72 K20 which has one short and one long tie rod end. They only sell the short ones as replacements. They also have the bar but want $240 or so dollars for it. I bought the tie rod ends and my buddy has a race car chassis shop and we are making the bar ourselves with tube adaptors and tubing.
