almost a truck again
As i posted in my build thread. I finally got the bed on and the hood.....This seems to be the longest year and a half now that i can remember...When i thought i could do this all by myself in less than a year i should have had my arse kicked....lol........To do one right, and alone i just dont see it happening..In the next 2-3 weeks i hope to have the hood worked and lined up and get her ready to take to work......And spend the following week or two blocking and painting.....Anyways here are a few pics.......Wish me luck

Re: almost a truck again
You`re gettin`there, now. It`s nice to have all the truck on the frame and not all over the place. It makes it easier to focus for me.

Re: almost a truck again
Thing looks great. What are you running for taillights? They look like simple trailer style light?

Re: almost a truck again
Its going the green guys, The red is the previous color.. The bed was just edged in Red ( it had a late model bed on it before and then i got this one..Did all the bod work and shaved the gate, Drove it for a while and then decided to do a Frame offSo its just edged in red...As far as the wheels...For now i will just buy some taller rear tires, I have ran these wheels for the last 4-5 years and i really like them. The front is 17x9.5 and the rears are 17x13. The rears allow me to run a large tire....Right now i think the back is a 325/55/17...and i would like to go much taller to match the front...But it is hard finding a rear tire that wide .Any suggestions would be great. the rear have always been shorter than the front......And yes the tail lights are just Tractor Trailer L.E.D s i plan on changing them, As i ordered a set of billet L.E.Ds...which will give me a much cleaner look.....I pretty much shaved the gate because guys at work said it could not be done.....I did not think about lights until i was getting ready to drive it home...so.lol

Re: almost a truck again
I cannot wait to see it completed!!!!! ever since I read you were going with a green similiar to 504 medium olive, I have watched every one of your posts!
I'm living vicariously through you, my friend. I'm a bit biased, but that's my favorite color as well!

Re: almost a truck again
Not really...The green is the color its going to be (its edged in) as is the silver. The Red is the previous color...(the hood) and the bed was edged for the previous color, and i just put a light mist of red for guide coat.....The final colors will be Green/Silver Two Tone.

Re: almost a truck again
You're getting close. If you're anything like me you'll feel like a big burden has been lifted off your shoulders after it's painted. Then you get to spend hours putting it back together.
Can't wait to see it finished.
