New to the board (sort of)
I have been on the board for a while, and dont think I have properly introduced myself. I had these year trucks back in high school, and recently decided to build one as a project. Here is a pic of my 68 SWB. I have also picked up a 68 SB 4x4 that I am considering as a semi daily driver, but dont really have the pics yet of it. I plan on an LT1/4l60 swap, with 20's and slammed, and fully shaved for my 68 SWB, so any help from you guys that have done it already would be great.
Thanks Rick |

Nice truck, looks like its had a front disc conversion. If you are curious, here is what your truck would look like w/ a logger box. Just one of our local trucks.

Interesting bed, not really the look I am going for though. It was previously converted to 5 lug, and From the looks of it, it must have been restored 4-5 years ago, so I wont need to do to much work. Main problem is the drip rails, but I want to shave them anyway

Yea, It is a pretty nice color, it is green, and almost looks blue. I think I am going to have it painted a bright silver color.

WELCOME FROM INDIANA
Welcome !!
I read you were looking at paintingyour truck bright silver.... I have the same idea, but let me warn you.... don't primer it a year in advance 'cause then, when you start trying to pick "just the right color" EVERYTHING looks too much like your PRIMER !!! LOL... I'm so tired of the primer look, I seem to want something more contrasting !!!! We'll see !! Good Luck w/ your project !
