Help! Quick!
Before I bid on this truck I want to make sure my plans will work.
Can I swap out the brake set up on a 72 Chevy Cheyenne with my 69 C/10? Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= Is it worth buying to use for parts for my 69? Thanks for your help guys! I just don't want to buy a truck that very little will be usable.

Re: Help! Quick!
My 69 LWB has a 1971 front end. I did not do the install I bought it this way and at the tie I did not know disc brakes didn't come on my truck. I found out when I went replace the ball joints that it was a 71 front end as the ball joints were longer. But that 72 should be the same as my 71. I understand it will bolt in.

Re: Help! Quick!
you can do it a couple of ways, either:
1. use newer spindles on your older A arms using the newer ball joints. You will also need the entire tie rod (not just the ends), brake line brackets (you can cut yours off the back of the x member and tack them to the front), and you will need 71/72 brake lines. you will also have to trim the steering stop on the back of the spindle (not as hard as it sounds, I have a diagram) 2. you can swap the whole x member, a arms, etc., as a whole. You will have to drill a couple of holes per side, and you will still need the newer brake lines. If your motor is out, swap the whole sha-bang, if not, and you want it done "now" you can just swap the spindles. That parts truck appears to have everything you will need, and you can make some coin selling the parts you don't need. Course, you can't tell what shape the parts are in. It looks to be a steal right now though, I am sure it will go up some though.

Re: Help! Quick!
Do it. They will Bolt right up. When you buy a disc break set up for a 67- it is all 71+ parts and will bolt right up. You can make more $ off selling parts from that then you will pay for it.

Re: Help! Quick!
Hey, I also think you need to use the master cylinder and vacuum booster as well. Not 100% sure, but that system looks just like the one that is installed on mine.

Re: Help! Quick!
No, I didn't get it. My connection crapped out with 5 minutes left...
No, I wasn't even aware that Belvoir had a bicycle team. I do know all of the guys on the beer pong team though!
