Dana 44 (I need an exploded view and info)
other than the following exploded view... I need info on fixing my damage. I have another rear end but it is a 2.73 posi out of another truck and i think that will be just as labor intensive as repairing this one. Thanks,

Get a GM factory overhaul manual. Best kind of book I have. You most likely will need a new differential. Parts are likely as expensive as just replacing it. You can get a TrakLok from Reider, Randy's or DTS as well as other places for less than $200. There is a little more to it than that, so buy the overhaul manual. Other things you might need: Dana44 diff shim set, bearing puller, hydraulic press. Read the book.

Hey DD
I have an original GMC 68 service manual that is quite good. I see them go for around $25 on Ebay. The Chevy one is in reprint and easier to get. I have an extra original 67-69 GMC parts manual that shows all the parts and numbers. You can have it for $25 delivered. Erl
