how to do a body lift without leaving bottom of fuel tanks exposed?
i would like to do a body lift in my '78 (pic on last page of longbed pics thread) but in every rig i've seen it done to it leaves a couple of inches of the fuel tank exposed below the quarter panel.
does anybody know of some kinds lifter brackets or something?

Re-drill the mounting holes in the frame up whatever the height of your body lift.

I am not sure there will be enough room to be able to redrill the holes up depending on how much of a body lift you are doing. The lower holes more then likely won't be a problem, but you may have to make some brackets for the top holes. You will also have to readjust your fuel line routing, as it goes through a hole in the frame rail currently, and will most likely have to be moved up above the rail.
Just listing the items involved in the job. I never liked the gas tank hanging out either. Good luck with your project.

I owned a lifted truck a few years ago.It was bought that way and i,m pretty sure all they did was move the tanks up and mounted the lower brackets holes in the upper frame holes then used a L bracket off the top of the frame for the top bolts
