wood or metal in your bed???????
Well just got done taking the really well crafted 3/4 inch greentreat out of the bed af my 72. Now I knew it wasnt gunna be pretty but she is rotted pretty bad. All the bed strips are pretty much shot. The cross sills are not to bad and pretty sure can make them work. Just wanted to see what all your thoughts were on the issuse. Thanks for any feedback.

solid black walnut with stainless cove around the edges and ss carriage bolts to the supports
*edt* in YOUR bed. I can't afford that for a bed that aint in the bedroom.

Yea Im on a budget but the strip kit is only $100. My uncle ownes a cabinet shop so might see what he can do for some nice wood.
